What were the strengths and weaknesses of V1?
Personally I thought V1 was fantastic. I was really happy about how it came out, down to the poses, composition, and color grading and such. The only thing I wished I did was get a cooler picture of me, and that my board decals got in on time.
What was the classmate feedback?
I was really happy that everyone that reviewed it thought it was an excellent piece! Everyone said that not only did I accomplish what I sought to do well, but that in general they really liked the piece as a whole.
What did I try to do different?
This time, instead of doing a movie poster, comic book style of look, I opted to do a postcard. I actually got the chance to implement the dropshadow/outline combo I wanted to do in the first version, but it didn’t work out so well in the format of V1. V2 doesn’t actually look that great on Medium cause I did a white outline to represent the post card, but I forgot that Medium itself is all white. But overall, with the text and how I set up the pictures, I’m really pleased with how V2 did.
